For the Dutch naval vessel Karel Doorman, built by Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding, Fiberstruct supplied GRP gratings for use on, among other things, the ship’s bridge and cranes.

Fiberstruct GRP walkways are an excellent answer to the need for durable materials in shipping. Our products are resistant to corrosion and offer a safe and non-slip surface. Glassfibre reinforced plastic also has very low maintenance costs and a longer lifespan than traditional materials such as steel.
