Unlike metal, glass fibre reinforced plastic is fully corrosion resistant, significantly extending the lifespan of the structure without the need for periodic repainting or sandblasting work. In addition to durability, the low self-weight is a major advantage; GRP is up to 70% lighter than steel. This makes transport and handling on the construction site considerably easier and more cost-efficient. Safety is the main driver in the design of every plastic walkway. Our walkways are fitted with a wear-resistant anti-slip layer that provides maximum grip even in wet or oily conditions. This drastically reduces the risk of slipping compared to chequer plate or wooden floors. Moreover, GRP is electrically non-conductive, which offers an additional safety advantage in environments with extensive cabling.
