Stair treads - Fiberstruct

Fiberstruct’s Safestep® stair treads are specially designed gratings for use in stairs. The stair treads feature extra reinforced, grained nosing, which offers an excellent finish with anti-slip properties and minimal deflection.

Intermodule® GRP stair components

Safestep® stair treads are ideal for combining with Fiberstruct’s Intermodule® GRP stairs. These stair structures made of glass fibre reinforced plastic are constructed of high-quality components. The stairs themselves are made using heavy-duty U203 pultruded profiles. The Safesteps are mounted to the stair stringers with a stainless steel support set with clips (GRP as an alternative).

GRP stairs

Standard dimensions

This chart shows the standard dimensions of Safestep® GRP steps. They are usually delivered in closed sizes. This means that the sides and rear side of the tread are closed.

RAL colours

Stair treads are available in any RAL colour. The reinforced nosing is often finished in the yellow safety colour, RAL 1018.

Mounting

Safestep® mounting consists of two corner profiles and 4 M-type mounting clips. The treads are mounted using the 4 M12x35 bolts provided.
