Slippery walking surfaces caused by oil, grease, or water are among the biggest risks on industrial platforms and access structures. Standard top layers often fail to provide sufficient grip under extreme conditions, increasing the risk of slipping accidents. Safety managers therefore require a solution that maintains reliable anti-slip performance under all weather conditions without weakening the structure of the grating.
Our plastic walkway gratings are equipped with a high-quality quartz anti-slip layer as standard, ensuring employee safety at all times. In addition, all Fiberstruct gratings are fire-retardant and comply with strict certifications such as ISO-9001-2015 and DNV-GL. This results in a low-maintenance product specifically designed for use in the industry where reliability is essential.

Customisation
Customisation
Fiberstruct stands out in its many customisation options. We realise customised projects on the basis of supplied drawings. But we do more: Upon request, we can develop a comprehensive grating plan to meet specific needs. After consultation, the GRP gratings or panels can be cut to size and delivered with open and closed meshes.
Mesh size
We develop gratings in various thicknesses and mesh sizes. Whether you need a 13-millimetre-thick grating with a centre-to-centre mesh size of 38 by 38 millimetres, or micromesh with gratings with a mesh size of 19 by 19 millimetres. With various options, we can meet all your specific needs.
Surfaces
Our walkway gratings are available in combination with different top layers: sanded for extra comfort, a concave surface for anti-slip, and sealed panels with a sanded top layer or sandwich structure. Smooth gratings are ideal for sectors such as the food industry, where hygiene is crucial.

Choose from gratings with open or closed meshes, depending on your requirements. As a standard, our GRP gratings are manufactured with open meshes, which are excellent for various applications such as walkways, landings, platforms, and stairs. For extra protection, we also offer gratings with closed meshes, making them perfect for situations where extra safety is required.

Choose from gratings with an open or closed top, depending on your requirements. Our closed GRP gratings are produced by using an open GRP grating combined with dense laminated fibreboard. This fibreboard varies in thickness from 3-5 mm and has a standard anti-slip layer. This type of GRP panel is extremely suitable for a variety of different applications, such as walkways, landings, platforms, bridge decks.

This type of resin offers excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion, making it ideal for outdoor use, such as in public areas, bridges, and platforms. Intergrate® ORTHO GRP gratings are produced with a high-quality patented orthophthalic polyester resin combined with a continuous woven glass fibre pattern.
