Delivery of GRP gratings for Terneuzen lock complex
For the Sassevaart project at the lock complex in Terneuzen, Fiberstruct supplied solid GRP gratings (HLU) for several of the locks. These robust gratings are specifically designed to safely and reliably support heavy vehicles, such as fire trucks.
The decision to use these GRP gratings was based not only on their exceptional load-bearing capacity but also on their lightweight and low-maintenance characteristics. These features make the gratings ideal for critical infrastructure like locks, where safety, durability, and reliability are essential.
Thanks to the use of durable materials, the GRP gratings guarantee a long service life with minimal maintenance costs. This is a crucial factor in the demanding environment of a lock complex, where reducing downtime and maintenance interventions contributes to the efficiency and safety of operations.
With this delivery, Fiberstruct has once again demonstrated that our innovative solutions perfectly meet the complex requirements of infrastructure projects, providing the client with peace of mind through the supply of high-quality and sustainable products.
In an earlier project Fiberstruct was already commissioned by Heijmans to supply glassfiber reinforced gratings for all the lock gates of the Terneuzen lock complex.
